Accessibility

We want guests to be able to make informed decisions about access before booking. The descriptions here refer to named facilities rather than promising that every part of the estate is accessible. Outdoor ground conditions, individual mobility equipment and a guest's preferred assistance can all affect a visit. Please discuss essential requirements with the appropriate team before confirming a booking. Staff can describe the facilities and arrangements, but the website cannot determine whether a particular room or activity will meet every person's needs.

Visitor information

Step-free routes
Main reception, the Orchard Restaurant, lounge, Pavilion, gym and pool reception have step-free access from the main entrance. The woodland trail and natural golf paths are not described as fully step-free routes.
Accessible bedrooms
Two Accessible Double rooms are located on the ground floor. Each has a wet-room shower, grab rails and a 900 mm clear entrance doorway. These rooms must be specifically requested and confirmed, not inferred from a general Double reservation.
Pool hoist
A fixed poolside hoist is available with a maximum rated user weight of 150 kg. Give the health team at least 24 hours' notice so trained assistance can be arranged; this notice is not a guarantee of suitability for every user.
Changing facilities
A private accessible changing room with a level-access shower and accessible toilet is next to the pool entrance. It can be used by a visitor and their companion without requiring them to enter separate gendered changing areas.
Assistance dogs
Recognised assistance dogs are welcome in public indoor areas and hotel bedrooms without the pet fee. They cannot enter the pool water, sauna or steam room; staff should help arrange a suitable nearby resting place.
Hearing support
A portable hearing loop is available at main reception and can be arranged for the Pavilion with 48 hours' notice. Not every room has a permanently fitted hearing loop.
Carer admission
One accompanying personal assistant enters without a leisure admission charge when supporting a paying guest who needs that assistance. Their own spa treatments, meals and golf participation are charged separately.
